Wire wrapping

Začalo to tím, že jsem na Deviantartu viděla nádherné drátované náušnice. Vzala jsem do rukou drát a zkusila to taky. Byla to hrůza a vůbec mi to nešlo, tak jsem drát odložila do doby, než jsem zjistila, že chyba nebyla ve mně, ale v druhu drátu, a že když se vezme správný materiál, tak to jde!

 It started when I saw a picture of beautiful wire-wrapped earrings on Deviantart. I took a wire and gave it a shot too. It was awful and I had no idea how to do it, so I put it down until I found out, that the problem weren't my hand, but the kind of wire and that when the right kind of wire is taken, it's possible!

Nejdříve jsem začla s měděnými a postříbřenými drátky. Tady jsou moje první výtvory.

I started with copper and silver plated wires and here are my first creations.

Postupně jsem přešla z korálků na minerály a našla zalíbení ve starobylém stylu.

Then I switched from beads to minerals and found interest in vintage style.

Nyní nejvíce používám nerezový drát díky jeho stálým vlastnostem a občas zabrousím k mosazi... Wire-wrapping nabízí nepřeberné množsví možností a bez jakýchkoliv šperkařských dovedností lze vyrobit zajímavé kousky. Jsem ráda, že se moje šperky líbí nejen mně, ale že se najde i spousta dalších lidí, kteří je obdivují a jsou ochotni za ně zaplatit. Děkuji všem zákaznicím, že mi daly prostor dál se vyvíjet a nalézat nové možnosti!

Now I'm mostly using stainless steel wires and sometimes even brass... Wire-wrapping enables bunch of possibilities and you can make an interesting pieces without any jewelcrafting abilities. I am glad that not only I like my jewels, but that there are a lot of people who admire my work and are willing to pay for it. I thank all of my customers for giving me the oportunity to develop my crafting skills and finding new possibilities.
